Where Persistent Acne Happens
Chronic breakouts start right in your skin, not only your bloodstream. A hormone called DHT attaches to receptors in your oil glands and triggers inflammatory cascade that leads to breakouts — locally, right where your breakouts shows up.¹ Blood tests can be normal while the skin-level signal keeps firing. Fun fact: your skin itself makes hormones, so all breakouts are hormonal to some extent!
How DIM Works
L'AMARUE is built around DIM, a compound from cruciferous vegetables. DIM has been studied for over twenty years for one specific thing: it fits the same receptors DHT uses, quietly making the signal weaker.² Receptor-binding strength comparable to prescription drugs that work the same way.³ Topical, not systemic. The result? Clearer-looking skin that you can trust again.
Stronger Than Benzoyl Peroxide*
In a 2022 head-to-head peer-reviewed study, DIM inhibited acne-causing bacteria at concentrations 12.5x lower than benzoyl peroxide.⁴ A separate 2025 study found that even at standard OTC strength, BP can't fully clear bacteria hiding inside biofilms — the protective shields that make most topicals stop working after a few weeks.⁵ DIM prevents the biofilm from forming in the first place.⁴ Same job, different mechanism, no collateral damage.
